
To install Windows 10 in VirtualBox, follow these steps:
- Download and install VirtualBox on your computer if you haven’t already done so.
- Download a Windows 10 ISO file from Microsoft’s website or another trusted source.
- Open VirtualBox and click on the “New” button to create a new virtual machine.
- Name your virtual machine and select “Microsoft Windows” as the operating system and “Windows 10 (64-bit)” as the version.
- Choose the amount of memory (RAM) you want to allocate to your virtual machine. The recommended minimum is 2GB.
- Create a new virtual hard disk and choose the size you want to allocate to it. The recommended minimum is 25GB.
- In the “Storage” section of the settings, click on the “Empty” CD icon under the “Controller: IDE” option and then click on the “Choose Virtual Optical Disk File” button.
- Browse to the location where you saved your Windows 10 ISO file and select it.
- Click on the “Start” button to start the virtual machine.
- The Windows 10 installation process should start. Follow the prompts to install Windows 10 on your virtual machine.
- Once the installation is complete, you can install VirtualBox Guest Additions to enable additional features such as better display and mouse integration.
- That’s it! You should now have Windows 10 installed and running in VirtualBox.
